- Aliette Quint set to succeed Pierre-Olivier Besombes on 1 May 2023
Toulouse, France. 10 March 2023 . Aliette Quint has been appointed CEO of HENSOLDT Nexeya France. Since 2019, she has been Vice-President Governmental Business Development, Political Affairs and Innovation at HENSOLDT France, where she is also a member of the Executive Committee. She is set to take over at the head of HENSOLDT Nexeya France, an aerospace services and solutions company that is part of HENSOLDT’s Services & Aerospace Solutions division. She will officially assume her new role on 1 May following a one-month transition period shadowing Pierre-Olivier Besombes, who is leaving the company.
Aliette Quint holds an EMBA acquired through a Franco-German programme and a Master’s in European Law and Policy. She has more than 20 years of experience in public affairs, strategy and business development in the energy, chemical and industrial sectors as well as recognised expertise in the management of advocacy campaigns in the area of defence electronics and the energy transition. In an earlier stage of her career, she worked with national and European public decision-makers for ten years in a leadership role at Brussels-based consultancy Arcturus Group, before joining Air Liquide in 2011. Among a number of positions held there, she headed up the company’s risk capital arm, ALIAD, as well as subsidiary Axane, which specialises in fuel cells. She also contributed to the launch of the Hydrogen Council.
“Our company is beginning a new phase with this planned and entirely organic change in leadership. We respect Pierre-Olivier Besombes’ request to pursue opportunities outside of the group and thank him for his tremendous work. With his commitment, HENSOLDT Nexeya France has become an established force in the aerospace value chain and the energy sector. Aliette Quint has convinced us of her abilities in the past, which she has used to advance us not only at the highest defence level but also within the HENSOLDT Group. I am delighted that she will now assume this new responsibility,” said Jérôme Giraud, CEO of HENSOLDT Holding France.
Aliette Quint: “I am thrilled and proud of my new role as CEO of HENSOLDT Nexeya France. I am very well aware of the quality and commitment of our employees and am looking forward to collaborating even more closely with the teams in the future in order to consolidate our company’s increasing success, which confirms our strategic direction and reflects our exceptional dynamism. There are still very few women at the helm of industrial groups in France. So it is also an honour for me to assume this role at HENSOLDT, which is indicative of the increasingly important place of women in professional life.”
