Singapore. 17 February 2022. CAE announced today at the 2022 Singapore Airshow that AIR BUSAN has now successfully launched CAE Rise™ for its flight training operations. This makes AIR BUSAN the first airline in Korea to leverage CAE’s innovative training system based on big data.
“This agreement is the next step in increasing AIR BUSAN’s safety index through world-class training and advanced technology,” said Jung Chang Jae, AIR BUSAN’s Vice President, Operation Division “By leveraging big data, AIR BUSAN will now be able to ensure the highest flight training standards to train its pilots. Through CAE Rise ™, pilot reaction times, such as brake application timing during a landing procedure, can be monitored and evaluated to improve flight training quality.”
“AIR BUSAN and CAE share a longstanding partnership that spans almost a decade and we are thrilled to expand the CAE Rise™ training system to their Airbus A320 fleet,” said Nick Leontidis, CAE’s Group President Civil Aviation. “With CAE Rise™, AIR BUSAN can now harness the power of big data analytics to train the safest pilots, while leveraging insights to continuously adapt and improve AIR BUSAN’s flight training programs.”
CAE Rise™, real-time insights and standardized evaluations, is a data-driven training system that monitors select flight manoeuvres and procedures performed by pilots to provide metrics-based insights (MBI) to instructors during a real time simulator training event. Furthermore, the quality of instructor and pilot de-briefing session is improved due to access to objective data.
The partnership between AIR BUSAN and CAE dates to 2013. Since then, AIR BUSAN has trained exclusively at CAE’s Training Centre in Korea.
