Weiswampach. 18 June 2019. Aero-Design, an aviation-themed interior design, clock-making and jewellery brand, is at the Paris Air Show from 17 to 23 June 2019. Enthusiasts and professionals are expected in the chalet designed by Agnès Patrice-Crépin, for the launch of a new line of sunglasses with a built-in aviation part and the installation of a “live” workshop near the Patrouille de France store. Aero-design applies the upcycling trend to the aviation sector by giving a new lease of life to aircraft parts.
The first glasses that include an aircraft part
Aviator watches and glasses are pilots’ and aviation enthusiasts’ favourite items. A few months after the launch of the Mach Watch chronograph with a genuine Concorde part built in, Aero-Design is innovating again with the first pair of glasses to include a precious supersonic relic. In partnership with the upscale Luxembourg optical brand Gold & Wood, Aero-Design is offering “Concorde lovers” a new iconic item. Together they have developed the “Supersonic” model in brown Tanganyika wood with silver flash and brown gradation smoked lenses. There is also a Tanganyika ebony model. An original part from the Sierra Delta Concorde is built into the upper part of the frame.
Aero-Design and Gold & Wood share the same craft know-how and values, such as respect for creation, the care over detail, and customer service. Their main motivation is to fulfil customers’ search for meaningful purchases and to offer emotion through objects that have a history. This is the promise of Aero-Design when signing its “upcycling becomes art” creations.
The Supersonic glasses prototype is exhibited in chalet n°395 (Aeronautics Fund) during the Paris Air Show.
Live workshop with the Patrouille de France store
All day on Wednesday 19 and Friday 21, the artist Agnès Patrice-Crépin is setting up a workshop next to the official Patrouille de France store. The Paris Air Show visitors will have the chance to meet the creator and discover Aero-Design jewellery know-how and hand-crafted assembly techniques.
The show is also an opportunity to launch a new model of the iconic Mach 2 Patrouille de France bracelet to which a bauble made from Alphajet parts is attached. The objects created by Aero-Design for the Patrouille de France are on sale at the official store at the Paris Air Show and airshows this summer.
Upcycled works exhibited at the Paris Air Show
Finally, Aero-Design is present via the creations for the Paris Air Show exhibitors. The brand’s historic partner, the aircraft storage, maintenance and recycling group TARMAC Aerosave (Hall 4 stand C94) has come from Tarbes with objects created by Aero-Design.
The chalet #395 Aeronautics Fund will be the main Aero-Design base during the Paris Air Show. Aero-Design has set up a reception area there with limited edition upscale furnishings and some unique pieces. The chalet is also decorated with aircraft windows converted into clocks. Jet engine fans mounted on carbon bases have been created specially for this customer who will use them as VIP gifts.
