Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 04 February 2024. Pioneering air system company AERALIS is exhibiting at the World Defense Show in Riyadh from 4-8 February 2024.
Based on Barzan Holdings’ stand in Hall 3, XC2.1, AERALIS will be showcasing their system approach to modular aircraft design including four different aircraft variant designs.
This visit comes at a crucial time for UK-Saudi Arabian defence relations with the British Defence Secretary Grant Shapps hosting HRH Prince Khalid bin Salman, Minister for Defence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in London in December 2023 where the two nations reiterated their shared commitment to cooperation on strategically important programmes.
This included the importance of joint defence activities to strengthen Middle East security, with a continued focus on building industrial partnerships across all domains, including the Global Combat Air Programme.
The show will be visited by the AERALIS senior leadership team with CEO Tristan Crawford and Chairman Robin Southwell attending. This follows on from Tristan Crawford’s appearance at the UK House of Commons Defence Select Committee last week where Tristan was called to provide evidence to a hearing on Future Aviation Capabilities including the procurement of future training aircraft for the UK’.
AERALIS CEO Tristan Crawford said:
“I am incredibly excited to be attending the World Defense Show and the opportunity this provides us to explain the unique AERALIS offering to a global market and in particular how we can support the Kingdom’s aims for Vision 2030.
The capabilities provided by the AERALIS air system design, combined with our industrial partnership model presents a unique chance for the UK and our Allies to build future air capabilities for generations to come, while continuing to create a pipeline of highly skilled jobs in market to protect and develop domestic aircraft manufacturing.”
