Pune. 20th August 2024. Sagar Defence Engineering had  an important visitor recently – the  Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, accompanied by the President of the Navy Welfare and Wellness Association (NWWA), Mrs. Shashi Tripathi.

During his visit to the R&D facility of the defence startup, he looked over various projects, such as the development of the Autonomous Underwater Vessel and the Autonomous Weaponized Boat Swarm being developed indigenously under iDEX DIO. Engaging with the engineers of the team, he reviewed the vessel’s capabilities, including its autonomous navigation and surveillance systems. He shared insights on how advanced technology can enhance underwater operations and contribute to the Indian Navy’s strategic advantage. He shared his insights to align these innovations with the broader goals of enhancing naval defence capabilities and promoting technological excellence through the nation’s defence startup ecosystem.

Addressing the team at the facility, Admiral Tripathi underscored the critical vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047” and highlighted the pivotal role that youth play in driving innovations crucial for achieving an Atmanirbhar Bharat. He said, “The young generation is not just shaping their future but contributing to the nation’s growth as well. With continued progress at this pace, I am confident that our country will achieve the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat by 2047, as envisioned by our Hon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

Accompanying Admiral Tripathi, Mrs. Shashi Tripathi interacted with the women of the team.
