Kochi. 19 April 2022. Ships of First Training Squadron of Indian Navy (IN Ships Tir, Tarangini, Sujata and CGS Sarathi) called on the port of Salalah, Oman on 18 Apr 22 as part of their Overseas Deployment. Captain Aftab Ahmed Khan, Senior Officer, First Training Squadron paid a courtesy call on Acting Southern Naval Area Commander, Oman Navy, Commander Sulaiyam Humaid Saleem Al-Shabibi. Training initiatives and issues of bilateral Naval cooperation between the two countries were significant points of discussion during the call.
During the three-day visit, the ships would be involved in interactions with the officials from Royal Navy of Oman and various other dignitaries. To further strengthen the bilateral relations and maritime cooperation’s between Oman and India, the ships will participate in a joint exercise (PASSEX) on 20 Apr 22.
