New Delhi. 01 June 2021. A record number of 11 patients were discharged from INS Kalinga COVID Care Centre(CCC) post recovery and were given a formal send-off by the team of medical staff headed by Superintendent, CHC Bheemunipatnam and Team from INS Kalinga including Cdr Sampat Kumar, Officer in Charge CCC .
Towards providing support to civil administration during this pandemic, Eastern Naval Command took initiative in setting up 60 bedded Covid Care Center at INS Kalinga for the civilian population in the Bheemunipatnam region.
The facility comprises 12 Oxygen support beds, two beds with Oxygen concentrators, and 46 beds with nebuliser and steamers. The facility has seen a good response since its inauguration on 11 May 21 by the Minister of Tourism, GoAP, and till date 24 out of a total of 59 patients admitted at the facility have been discharged after full recovery.
